Research in China has recently argued, women who consume lots of fiber are less likely suffering from breast cancer than those who ate little fiber.

This research does not directly prove the fibers as lowering the risk of cancer. But, however, women who eat lots of fiber as a whole they are healthier than those who ate no fiber at all.

According to researchers from Soochow University, people who do high-fiber diet have lower levels of the hormone estrogen. The hormone estrogen is known as one risk factor for breast tumor strigger.

In his research, the researcher combines 10 previous studies that looked at dietary patterns of women. Approximately 710,000 women in this study were monitored for seven to 18 years to see their risk of cancer.

The result, it is known that as much as 2.4 percent of women experience breast cancer. However, among women who occupy the top five positions (ate the most fiber), their risk is 11 percent less likely to develop breast cancer.

Some literature recommends, women need at least 25 grams of fiber per day, while men should be adequate for 38 grams of fiber per day.

"Increasing intake of fiber is very important for public health," said a team of researchers from China to publish its findings in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Meanwhile, Dr Eleni Linos of Stanford University, who was not involved in the study, assessing the effect of fiber consumptionfor cancer risk reduction is relatively small.
The same is also disclosed by Christina Clarke, scientists from the Cancer Prevention Institute of California in Fremont.Although the relationship between breast cancer risk and very little fiber, but fiber is something we know is very unhealthy for everyone," he said.

According to Clarke, an excellent high-fiber diet in controlling cholesterol and weight loss. "However, if you find that the consumption of fiber may reduce cancer risk, it would be an added bonus," said Clarke.
