Want to have a healthy heart?
Enter the fish in your plate. However, be careful on how the processing because research shows that baked or steamed fish is more healthful than fried fish.
Marine fish are rich in omega-3, especially fish, dark and slippery like salmon, mackerel and bluefish. Omega-3 alone is mentioned will reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering inflammationblood pressure, and cell damage.

Various studies show they are fond of eating fish or taking five or more servings of fish each week, the risk of heart problems can be reduced by 30 percent compared with those who ate fish once a month. However, the benefit was only found in those who cook fish with baked or steamed.

Fried fish showed no benefit to protect the heart. In fact, those who ate fried fish once a week increased the risk of heart disease compared with 48 percent who do not eat fried fish.

"It's not all the same kinds of fish, but how do we process the fish is very important. If we fry, not only the lost lives but also how to cook with a frying harm health," said Dr. Donald Lloyd-Jones, a researcher from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Jones was a study conducted using data long-term studies Women's Health Initiative that looked at dietary 85,000 post-menopausal women and carried out throughout 10 years.

The research results confirm previous research conducted on populations in the area "stroke belt" in America, which stretches from the Carolinas to Arkansas and Louisiana, where cases of stroke in the area is very high compared to other regions in the U.S.. The results found 32 percent of the people there eat fried fish twice a week.
